The 2021 Regular Session of the Virginia General Assembly adjourned “Sine Die” on Monday, March 1st. Legislators introduced over 1,000 bills this Session and the Home Builders Association of Virginia (HBAV) identified over 120 that directly or indirectly impacted the residential land development and construction industry. On April 7th, the General Assembly returned to Richmond for the Reconvened Session to consider any Governor’s amendments to legislation passed by the legislature during the Regular Session.

The 2021 General Assembly Session Review (which can be found here) is an overview of the bills and budget amendments that HBAV worked to pass, defeat, or amend during the legislative session.
